Opening a new window from a hyperlink in a cell

    I'm having great difficulty in setting a cell content of a table to hyperlink to a URL in a new window rather than the existing window. I've tried the following blog:

    In design mode and running it from there and it doesn't do anything. Anyone have any ideas please?

    I've never been able to get a new window to open inside of BIDS. I have to deploy the report and test it in a real browser. Makes testing a real pain, but when it works it's pretty slick.

    Aha thanks. Having made those changes now, I can get the link opening in reporting services now but only if the url I'm going to is returned as a field with the dataset for the report. The issue I'm having now is that the hyperlinks don't work when using the report in my .net app because of the reportviewer control. I have tried enabling the hyperlinks on the control as suggested but still nothing.

    I haven't done anything with the reportviewer control (yet). The window.open does have a few more parameters than the URL you posted lists.

    Maybe there's something else that needs to be set??
