I'm installing a SQL Server 2008 Express instance on a demo machine, vista 64 bit, and during the installation, it appears to have gotten 'stuck' while generating native images. From the installer: "Write_NativeImage_64. Generating Native Images"
I wonder if this is something others might have experienced.
Any help or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Is your copy of Windows up to date? All patches?

I know I'm supposed to check that. But I didn't. This is a computer that isn't owned by our company, nor any of our customers, it's a prospects and I had this minimalistic approach going into this project, that is, don't install anything unneccessary. Rats.
Well now it is hung and I really hesitate to terminate the process, but it looks like that's the route to go, Thanks for the input.
