  • How to Encrypt the communication between SQL Server and the Webserver??

My Application uses SQL Server authentication to connect to MSSQL.

    Please let me know!

  • Best way would be using IPSec to encrypt the traffic between the nodes

  • i'm very eak on this, never implemented it, but i thought there was a "Force Encyption" property on the server that could do that; otherwise it's an optional client connection option, right?

The force encryption option is used when using SSL encryption. This is slow and requires you go spend a whole fist full of dollars on an SSL certificate (self signed are not recommended) from a trusted authority.

IPSec is part of the windows OS and requires no SQL Server interraction, the encryption levels are more secure and offer better performance.

This link[/u] provides an overview of IPSec
