Scripting out a table in SSMS is very slow

  We are experiencing very strange situation. We have two servers: dev and production (obviously prod is stronger than dev, but it's not related to our problem).

  When I try to script out a table from dev server in SSMS, it takes minutes, same thing in prod takes within like 3 seconds.

  What I can check in my server? What could be a culprit for this ?

  Did you try running profiler to see what was taking so long?

  Does this happen with all tables?

  Is it always slow or jut during peak times?
