Report Manager - slow response compare to SSMS (2008 R2)

  • hello,

i have 2 machines with Sql Server 2008:

1 with reporting services (OS: windows 2008 R2) and the other 1 is being used for DWH (OS: windows 2003)

the 2008 machine is a new one and before i will transfer all of our report i'm checking it.

i found out that we have a serious problem , i'm running a simple report that run from the report manager, this report used to run on the old machine in 2-3 sec, now from the new machine it takes it around 50 sec to return.

I've did some checks with sql server profiler, it seems that the report server send the query to the DB only after 45-46 sec and once it there the db return the query result in 1 sec and then the report display the result.

I've also checked the server performance (processor, IO , memory) everything seems to look o.k.

can anyone advice regarding this phenomena?

    thanks,

    Dave.
