using vpc in sql server 2008

  i am using vpc in sql server 2008 in that i am unable to open tables.in database listbox to select the db name is not visable but it is visible in object explorer. i am try to open throug query also.it gives errror and in query pane the db is not connect.what should i do to acess that tables?
