Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work with a company who wanted to explore the capabilities of Report Builder 2.0. After installing the stand alone client (if you want more details on this or the link to download the file read one of my earlier blogs), we opened up the Report Builder application and began the development of a report. Nothing too crazy, we just connected up to a shared data source on the report server, created a dataset using that data source and then started to add columns into a tablix. After we had 10 or so columns added to our report, we wanted to increase the height of the details row. When we did this, Report Builder crashed. We thought that this was a rare issue, but we were able to duplicate it time and time again. Each time having the same result!
This was being performed on an HP machine, so maybe this was the problem? I did try on a different machine and had no problems changing the height of the row. I haven’t researched this thoroughly yet, but I am sure that this we weren’t the only people to have this happen. Have any of you out there with HP laptops had this problem?
