Hello,
I create a agent job/maintenance plan but when I check the properties job name and step are disappears, I can run it give me the result but I cann't modify or I can't see these steps.
I am running SQL 2005 SP4 on Windows 2003 SP2.

Cant you modify it from the maint plan also?

but what about the jobs that I created, I can't see the step

Try by deleting it and again creating it.

I try that but when ever I create a new job it work fine, but if I want to see the properties or wnat to modify it is not showing thhe job name and any step

Hi Mak1,
Can you please let us know which SQL Server 2005 Edition you are using?
I also faced the same situation with SS2005 SP2 Standard Edition in which jobs steps and properties are not visible. Then I connected this server on other physical server and checked the job properties..Wow..They are visible there. You can check the same and give a try.

We are running Enterprise edition with SP4
it look like I can't select the user, when it says Run as I can't see any availiable users
