Hi Guys,
Can I enroll sql server 2000/2005 Instances with Utility Control point on SQL SERVER 2008 R2 Enterprise ? Here we have all three environments (2000/2005/2008) in our shop. But I am not sure, whether UCP will monitor all these types of instances or not ?
Is there any limitations in using UCP ?
thanks

Unfortunately, this was introduced in R2 and only works with R2 (version 10.50) or greater (future versions).

This is a great new feature and an add-on or something for other versions would certainly be useful if it was at all possible.

Another thought is that you could use third-party apps to monitor the servers. There are some very good ones out there from Red Gate, SQLSentry, and several others.
