. . . still stinks in my opinion.
I keep reading that its supposed to be much better than SSRS 2005 but i've been using SSRS08 for the first time today and I can't see that's any different.
I've got a report which contains a fairly long text field (max chars well in excess of 1000) and when I run the report in BIDS or Visual Studio, the text boxes expand to fit all the text, but export it to Excel and the row height is still the Excel default.
This has always been a source of annoyance to me and its still there but if anyone knows how to get the rows to fit the text, I'd be very happy. Well, fairly happy anyway, its only work isn't it?
Its also putting borders in where my table in my report doesn't have borders.
You know what, I've always hated Excel and I suppose I always will.

In those cases I pre-set the text box in the SSRS design area to be big enough to fit in all the text. That way it turns up in Excel as a large merged cell with all text showing
