Hi all, I have installed SQL Server 2005 express on my PC. I also installed a few sample databases like AdventureWorks. When I try to connect to this database it gives me a connection error and I am unable to connect. Can someone please advise me , If I am doing something wrong and how to fix this error ?
Regards

Would you please be a little more specific? What error message (exactly) do you get?

Are you connecting from the local pc or from another computer?
What application(s) are you using to try to connect?

Okay.
As Lutz asked, what is the error message?
What are you using for the Server Name when you try to connect? By default Express installs as a Named Instance so you need to use ServerName\InstanceName.
