Hello,
I am getting following error when I am trying to connect to reporting services from SSMS.
Unable to connect to server at <machinename>.
The specified URL might not be valid or there might be problem with the report server version or configuration.Specify a different URL or contact your server administrator to verify that the report server runs SQL Server 2008 or later.
I am able to preview the report developed. But when I try to open the default URL projected by SSRS, it is not opening the report. I get the message "The page cannot be displayed".
The SQL Server is installed on Windows XP Pofessional edition.
Is it that I need to re-install reporting services.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I uninstalled reporting services and reinstalled the same. Now I am getting the following error
"The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. "
Please help.
