sql database is not getting backed up properly

  • I had a bunch of databases. all the databases are getting backed up to the Location G:backup except one.

I am getting this error message

    Msg 50000, Level 16, State 1, Line 0

SLS Error: No Result XML returned from Engine. (Possible abend/termination)

    Msg 60400, Level 16, State 1, Line 0

There are no backup files in the set

Check for a cancelled backup operation...

I am using litespeed to take the Full backups.

I had used three overwrite options. None of them worked

(Append to media, overwrite existing media, create unique media )

I am using sql server 2008 r2 enterprise edition.

    Lite speed version is 5.2.0.1240

  • At a guess you'll get a better idea of what's going on from the lightspeed forums. It sounds like it's looking to use an existing bak file and put another set of backups into it.

  • I changed the location to G: and it is working now.
