We use SQL Server Management Studio 2008. I successfully set up a backup routine using the Maintenance Plan Wizard which included scheduled full, differential, and transaction log backups. The full backup ran successfully the first time. After it ran I realized it included a database I did not wish to backup. I attempted to modify the backup maintenance plan and received the following error:
TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
------------------------------
Could not load file or assembly 'msddsp, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (Microsoft.DataTransformationServices.Design)
------------------------------
BUTTONS:
OK
------------------------------
None of the backups have occurred since the initial full backup completed. Can anyone tell me what caused this error and how to correct it? Thanks for your help!

Hi. I'm having the same problem. Were you able to get answers to your questions? Were you able to fix it?
Thanks,
Michelle

No I'm afraid no one ever replied and I still have the issue.
