When I've started out with SSIS, I've read the following book:
It may be a bit dry and technical, but it contains almost everything you need to know about SSIS. For a beginner, you don't need to read all the chapters.
You can also check out the tutorials at MSDN for building your first package.
After you've learned SSIS, I can highly recommand the following book:
The first book tells you how you must work with SSIS, the second one will tell what you can do with SSIS.
Need an answer? No, you need a question

This is pretty simple to understand for beginners as it comes along with DVD.
