help with client requirements

    Hi all,

    We have a client who wants us to implement the following changes:

    a. 40 MS SQL instances down to 9

    b. 16 MS SQL servers down to a cluster

    Can you please help me out in gathering what are the factors which should be considered while determining the feasibilty of above changes.

    Any information/pointers/blogs/articles would be helpful.

    While the heading of this document is "SQL Server 2000", it applies to server consolidations, in general. I found this helpful as a starting point, but created my own plan and checklists.
