Books Online, the documentation that comes with SQL Server, should be open on your desktop most of the time. It sure is on mine.
After that, you've got here at SSC as was stated. For really short, sharp answers, I'd also suggest using ask.sqlservercentral.com. You also have some great blogs syndicated here on SSC that can help you out.
After that, you might take a look at SQL Server Pedia and the blogs syndicated there.
Then there are books. If you're really just getting started, then one of the best I can recommend is Itzik Ben-Gan's "SQL SEerver 2008 T-SQL Fundamentals." That book will really lay it all out for you.

I highly recommend looking through some of the videos on the SQLBits website http://www.sqlbits.com
SQLBits is probably the largest SQL Server conference in Europe. After the conference, videos of the presentations are posted on the website, for example the latest ones are here:
http://www.sqlbits.com/events/event7/SQLBitsVII.aspx
They are aimed at a mixture of levels from beginner through to advanced, and cover most areas of SQL Server, dev/dba/BI
Some look into internals, some have demos... Each is about an hour long.
