I have MS SQL 2008 and I have been running it for over a year. Last night I decided that I wanted my design software (visual studio 2010) on my system so I can code from anywhere via remote dt. However when I installed it, VS installed SQL Express on top of MS SQL. Now I am getting the follow error. Can anyone help me or am I going to have to completely delete all versions of SQL and reinstall MS SQL 2008?
Script level upgrade for database 'master' failed because upgrade step 'sqlagent100_msdb_upgrade.sql' encountered error 3601, state 5, severity 25. This is a serious error condition which might interfere with regular operation and the database will be taken offline. If the error happened during upgrade of the 'master' database, it will prevent the entire SQL Server instance from starting. Examine the previous errorlog entries for errors, take the appropriate corrective actions and re-start the database so that the script upgrade steps run to completion.
