Cannot login to SQL Server 2008

  • guys, i just did a clean installation of sql server 2008 on windows 7 ultimate, i know the password, but i cant open the sql server (look at the pics)

    any1 can help me pls, i already search at other sites about different solutions, but no use.

  • Try using . (a dot), (local) or localhost as servername.

    Also, go to SQL Server Configuration Manager and make sure the instance is up and running. While you're there, look at the servername of SQL Server.

  • when i run it... this error comes, look at the pic.

  • Please check the entries in System/Application event log, SQL Server Error Log for the possible reasons for the SQL Server service not starting up.
