  How do I stop the microsoft customer experience program. It is creating event log errors as the machine is on a restricted private network, and can't do its job.

  One way is via the Help menu in SSMS.

  Another is the Error and Usage Report Setting application in the Configuration Tools sub group of the Microsoft SQL Server program folder.
