I am representing negative number within parenthesis , but as I am working on reporting service, it is possible to make the exact alignment of the number and parenthesis.
123,345
(145,567)
How can I make this alignment like
123,345
(145,567)
where the parenthesis will be outside the number space keeping in mind the alignment is in right .
Thanks

I would start by trying an expression in the right padding that if the number was a positive number the padding was greater. You will have to experiment a bit to get the alignment you want, but you should be able to get it.

In VS2008, right click your field and choose Text Box Properties. Click on the Alignment tab and you will see the padding options. Click on the Fx button to build an expression for the selected padding.

Apologies for that post. I apparently hit quote to see the alignment and then hit reply... but I didn't mean to.
