indexes for table in Relational db, what in Mutidimensional db ?

    this probably is a silly question but i am curious to know that if there exists an index for a table in Relational db to make query processing faster what exists in Mutidimensional db instead of indexes ?

    Depends what database software you are referring to. In SSAS for example the most important storage feature is pre-aggregation of hierarchies. As a matter of detail, relational databases are multidimensional too. The term "multidimensional" can refer to any number of very different models and products.
