Need to Update the Year Only

  I have a table with a date field formatted like this:

  2005-08-06 12:17:34.543

  I need to update only the year and keep the rest the same. What is the best way to do this?

  UPDATE yourTable

  SET yourDateColumn = DATEADD(year,1,yourDateColumn)

  WHERE someColumn = someValue

  Or something like that - depends what you want to do really...
