Permissions to access Reporting Services via management studio?

    I am having issues accessing the reporting server via the reporting services part of management studio.

    I assume it is to do with the permissions settings (error is: The username or password is not valid or you do not have permission to access this server. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.UI.RSClient) ). However I am unsure where to start with this one.

    I am a sysadmin on the reporting server, an admin from the Windows side. I can access the reporting server via a web link no problem. I have also tried other admin accounts and am not getting anywhere.

    I have tried searching for why I am getting this error, with no joy. I want to ideally set up folder navigation for some reports so any help is greatly appreciated!

    Ok I managed to solve it by using the actual URL rather than anything else in the Server Name area. Worked first time....hopefully that helps someone else.
