Issue after SQL Server upgrade to 2008 R2

  • We have 2 sql server 2005 SP3 instances on one server(CRM&BTS).I have recently upgraded CRM SQL2005 instance to SQL2008R2.And I've left the BTS instance on 2005 but the SSIS instance for the machine has been upgraded along with the CRM instance (as we expected it would be). I've checked that this is a supported scenario:

The SSIS packages will point to BTS instance. But SSIS instance for the machine is upgraded to 2008 R2 however packages need to point to 2005 BTS instance only. How to resolve this problem? The packages are not running now.

    1) Can I uninstall SSIS 2008 R2 and install SSIS 2005? does it work?
