Transactional Replication between SQL 2005 and SQL 2008

    How to set up Transactional Replication between SQL 2005 server which will be the publisher and SQL 2008 server which will be the subscriber?

    There is nothing special about setting it up. 2005 to 2008 is something that is done quite regularly. Just make sure that your distributor is SQL 2008 and you set it up from the SQL 2008 node.

    A SQL2008 distributer is only required for a pull subscription although this doesnt necessarily match MS recommendations. 🙂
