I'm taking a shot in the dark here but I figured I'd ask anyway. I'm working with an ad agency whose client provides us with a .map file along with some other files and a pdf. I'm assuming the PDF is a representation of what is in that .map file. Any ideas as to what application my generate a .map file and how I can change that into a shape file? We're in the process of testing out SQL Server 2008 and I feel that this would be a great opportunity to use the geospatial data type.
Because of the contractual agreement we have with the ad agency we can't work directly with the client. Any thoughts you might have would be greatly appreciated.
