How to Uninstall sql server 2008 R2 integration services and Full-Text Search

  • Hi,

    I have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 database engine, Full Text Search, Integration Services.

    But, now we NO longer require Full Text Search and Integration Services and I want to Uninstall them. Could you please advice from where to Uninstall these 2 features?

  • i don't have screenshots for 2008R2, but the method is the same;

    go to add/remove programs, and rerun the msi by clicking change...once you are in there, an additional step has a screen showing which features are installed, and you can chose to remove them.

    so you have to run the install to remove features, although many hope to find "Reporting Services" as an explicit item to remove in add/remove programs, for example.

    here's an example of removing Reporting Services, but the other features are in the same spot:
