what is dashboard and scorecards?

    hello,

    I need to work on reports,dashboards and scorecards. I have very good idea on reports, so please any one can tell me about dashboards and score cards

    dashboards and scorecards are really close to what you'd intuitively think: reports that provide more of an "at a glance" indicator as to how something is doing(your SQL server, your business,sales, etc);

    the key is to also provide a context for the values presented; for example, the number "1600" by itself doesn't mean anything, 1600 Cases shipped means something more helpful, but putting that 1600 cases on a graph, with a history of previous sales, and the record min and max sales gives everyone a better idea of what the data represents.

    Most Dashboards I've seen/written are heavier on graphics, where scorecards tend to be mostly numbers and line graphs.
