We have the sql server 2008 sp1 installed on the Windiows Server 2008 R2 two node failover cluster.
We recently added a new lun to the cluster and after that when we tried the failover the cluster resources show up but the sql server service and agent do not start
event id : 1609
Cluster resource 'SQL Server (xxxxxxxxx)' in clustered service or application 'SQL Server (xxxxxxxxxxx)' failed.
this is the error i see in the cluster events can any one please help me out with this.

What messages are in the SQL error log? (It's a text file, called ERRORLOG. Where it will be depends on where you installed SQL)

Did you add the new LUN to the cluster group and define the dependency on it for the SQL Server service to start?

have you exposed the LUN to both servers?
