Hello Guys,
I have an issue with installation of sql server 2005 on my laptop. I tried installing server first, it failed. then i tried installing client, that also failed.
My laptop is windows XP with 1 GB memory with SP2 installed.
When i run the installation, it is not throwing any error till end, but once the last step in the wizard gets completed, there is one pop up coming up by saying "unable to install SQL Server on your computer".
I have no clue on this. can anyone help..

What SQL Server edition are you trying to install (Developer, Standard, Enterprise, etc.)?

You may also want to check system requirements for installation of SS2008.

Developer edition..
I checked all prerequisites. all are fine.

Take a look at your installation logs at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG
