logshipping Error

  • Hi All i am getting the Latency Error

    he log shipping secondary database FLEXIQ_DB_DR.LoadTestDB has restore threshold of 45 minutes and is out of sync. No restore was performed for 95 minutes. Restored latency is 0 minutes. Check agent log and logshipping monitor information

    Without latency how we sechdule a job .. plz help me....

  • Log shipping is relatively straight forward to troubleshoot.

    I this case, no backup was restored to the secondary so:

    1. Either the log backup failed on the primary.

    2. The log backup failed to get copied to the secondary.

    3. Or the log backup failed when being restored on the secondary.

    4. Or the monitor server isn't correctly picking up something and is incorrectly reporting latency.

    So, check the primary to make sure the log backups are working. If they are then check the secondary to make sure the backup files have been copied across. And if that's working check the secondary error logs/scheduled job logs to see why the restores aren't working.

  • Check the job histroie and the shared location for the backups

    this will find the trouble area,
