NO SQL Server auditing in SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition?

  Hi,

  We want use SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition for production and I went through the below link for the features offered in SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition.

  Here, under Security features, what is SQL Server Auditing which is NOT available in Standard edition.

  I want to make sure that if you go for SQL Server 2008 Standard Edition, there will be NO auditing? Is that right?

  With SQL Server 2008 standard edition you can't SQL Server Auditing which is a new feature.

  But you can always you the default trace for the basic auditing or you can write custom scripts for the auditing purpose.
