Dear Sir,
I am in great trouble when I am saving maintenance plan of database backup then giving below error message in that case I can't save maintenance plan, Hence please help

Do the SQL error logs give any more detail ?

First of all are you a memeber of sysadmin on the server?
Do you have rights on the Databses ou are trying to add maintenance plans to.

Make sure the version of the client tools is at the same or greater version as the database you are connecting to. For that matter, make sure the database you are connecting to is at 9.00.3054 or greater.

Make sure the version of the client tools is at the same or greater version as the database you are connecting to. For that matter, make sure the database you are connecting to is at 9.00.3054 or greater.
+1 on this advice...I have gone through great pains having this issue coming to find out the SSMS tools were not at the right patch level to the database engine. 😀
