Installed SQL Server 2008 with Reporting Services on my lap vista os . Tried to open the Report Manager and had no tabs and no Site Settings link - just a blank home page. I am logged onto the server with local administrator rights, so it shouldn't be a permissions issue.
Thinking the installation was bad (IIS was not installed before installing SSRS), I uninstalled and re-installed SSRS after setting up IIS 7 on the server. Still the same issue - just a blank home page in report manager with no ability to add users or assign roles or see anything except the links for "Home", "My Subscriptions", and "Help".

if i tried above it is giving as
Reporting Services Error
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The permissions granted to user 'Parthi-PC\Parthi' are insufficient for performing this operation. (rsAccessDenied) Get Online Help
but if i go as online help there is no link over there ..................
i tried all possible ways but could not find solution any where, how it colud be solved.

IIS is not required for SSRS2008 since all the requests are channeled via HTTP.SYS

Hi,
Please make sure your SSRS Service is running.
Make sure your SSRS configured properly (Default settings like Report Database, Report Manager URL, Report Server URL, Service Account etc.)
Please try to open http://localhost/Reports/Pages/Settings.aspx?SelectedSubTabId=SecurityLinkID
and then grant Administrative rights to your user for SSRS using Edit Options
