Is autoshrink enabled or is their a job that is shrinking the database?
The primary key clustered index based on an identity column should not fragment.

Well autoshrink make clustered index fragmented, even while the database is untouched?
Thank you

It seems that the question has changed topics after the thread began.
I have used Idera in the past. It is ok but we saw some bugs with it and thus don't use it to heavily currently. We had to stop and restart the idera services multiple times a day or our SQL Servers would be negatively impacted.

To be completely honest with you, I cannot fault the Idera tools.
Having used and sold several different third party SQL Tools myself, I have found that the Idera tools are far superior to that of the other competitors out there, such as Quest and Red gate.
