then what database i had taken DIFFIRENTIAL backup or T-log backup

can you please suggest those modifed table have taken backup

    Regards

    Raj

  • What type of backup you take after modifying 15 tables is up to and part of the decision has to be based on several factors; the recovery model of the database (simple, bulk logged, or full), how much data was changed or modifications to the schema, is the database in a development or production environment, etc.

Based solely on your original post, hard to advise.

  • Hi

    Shiv,

Yes you can take a backup all 15 tables which altered .I guess you are working on development environment (Because development guys are keep asking this question ' how to take backup of a particular table')before altering the table design ,create a new database and move those 15 table to there by using SSIS/DTS and then take backup of Cretaed new database , other wise create the copy of your all 15 tables on your current database and rename those tables it begin with 'Backup_table1'.

    Thanks and regards.
