First of all, thank you ahead of time for your answers.
Here is the question:
Can I replicate from SQL 2005 to SQL 2000? Just regular transactional, nothing fancy and very straight forward. I have not try it yet as the question was raised right before I left the office. Will do some research, but wanted to run it through SQL Sever Central first.

Replicating from 2005 to 2000 will work OK. There is a general rule for replication that you need to use...the distributor needs to be the highest version/sp for all of the SQL instances in that are involved with replication. In your case, this means that the distributor needs to be SQL 2005.

Thanks, it will be in 2005. One of the subscriber is not company own and they don't have plans to upgrade soon. Your answer and some research I have done since I posted, will allow me to move forward as planned. Thank you
