Insert 10,000 records in one second (LogFile??)

  • Hi experts.

    Yesterday I made topic in here (http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic943563-149-1.aspx )

    And your friends posted good opinion. Also I post that topic in sqlteam.com (http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=146582)

    Where Lumbago offered interesting idea about โ€œLog Fileโ€.

    May you please read that and say your idea.

    Best regards. Morteza

  • Morteza,

    Hornestly, I believe that your question is not really for a forum discussion. It is too many factors which would determine the best solution for your company. Without knowing and understanding your business requirements, hwardware, architectural, technical and skills/knowledge limits, it will not be possible to properly advise on this subject. I would repeat some advise from your previous post: if you want safe money and time, the best move for your company would be finding approariate consultant. I don't beleive you should base your entire solution on the answers from this forum.

    I guess you will be able to find a lot of help here when you will go with choosen implementation, but trying to get consulting of this sort from the forum is too demanding. ๐Ÿ˜€

    If I'm wrong, you will know it quite quick from the next replies...

    Not only are you NOT wrong, Eugene, I'm a bit ticked that after even all that on the other post that this OP has has chosen to ignore the given advice and to esentially double post.

    @Morteza,

    The best advice given to you is the advice that you just don't want to hear... it's not meant as an insult. You good folks just don't have the internal experience/skill set to pull this off quickly. If you had more time, I'm sure that you'd suss the problem just fine (I'm a poet and don't knowit :-P). But that doesn't appear to be the case here... you don't have the time. With that, I strongly second the recommendations that you should hire a little temporary SME help instead of trying to glean it all from disparate posts on multiple forum threads.

    RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
    First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
    ________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

    Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
