Hello, I am not always around my computer or email, so I needed a system that would allow me to send SMS messages to my e-mail from SQL Agent if a job has failed.
I've gone into the Database mail, and put 2902029@provider.com and ran job that have failed, yet I get no SMS message. I have repeated this in Alerts/Operator, too. I then sent the notification to Outlook and tried catch the phrase 'Job has Failed' and to forward that to my cell phone number, yet it doesn't work.
I don't really want to install any add-ons to Outlook/SQL 2008, which seems like the only way, so I was wondering if there is any other solution.
Thanks!!

So your just trying to get this to your phone? And looking at the address you have that states your trying to send it to "phone number@provider.com" Usually the cell phone company will have an address like "phone_number@message.provider.com" for SMS messages. One way to find out is send an email to yourself from your cell phone via text message and see exactly where it's coming from.
