Problem in establishing communication between SQL 2000 and SQL 2005

    Hello Every one,

    Our Stag server is SQL 2000 and we have upgraded test server to SQL 2005. We linked both servers and everything was fine. But when we try run query we got

    Msg 17, Level 16, State 1, Line 1

    [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

    I did bit search and followed this post

    but all scripts on that link return server not available.

    Can some one help me.

    I just found that SQL Management studio is adding a server in Linkedserver folder though the connection is not established properly. Now, Im up to running script to create a link and test.
