Hi Every body,
right know am working with performace tunning
little bit confuge to working this one could you please clarify really appreciate that persons
1st update statics OR rebulid the index could give suggestion
& what is differece between both

Update statistics just updates the column stats on the table.
Rebuild index rebuild the specified index, removes fragmentation and then updates the stats for that index.

Rebuilding an index does a fullscan update of the statistics. Unless you specify the WITH FULLSCAN option of UPDATE STATISTICS, you get a sampled update which may or may not be accurate, depending on the layout of the data in the column statistics.
