Hi,
Can you export a report from SSRS 2005 to Excel 2007?
I am unable to check myself as we do not currently run SSRS 2005 but need to know the answer to this question before we do implement it.
Thanks.

I don't believe so as I believe it only use's the 2003 rendering engine. Have you tried renaming the .xls output to the .xlsx?
Let me know if you do find a solution, but I believe only SSRS 2008 will export to the Office 2008 format.

Have successfully exported to Excel 2003, then opened with Excel 2007, now admittedly it was not a complex spread sheet, but it opened and was useable, when attempting to save to Excel 2007 format a warning is issued by Excel ""Microsoft Office excel recalculates formulas when opening files last saved by an earlier version of Excel"
Test , export to Excel 2003 and check spread sheet using Excel 2007, this could be a work around for you. Then test again, and again with various reports.
