Hi friends,
Administrative Tools-> Remote server i can able to connect thru odbc.
SSMS and OSQL - > I could not register the server,
In SSMS - Timeout expired.
In osql - [SQL Server Native Client 10.0]Unable to complete login process due to delay in opening server connection.
Please suggestion me, How to resolve this issues?
Thanks

There is no hope for openrowset command?
Target server port 1433 is open in local, but remote server connection is not open - telnet target IP 1433, I have checked there is no firewall it is off on target server.
Principle server can able to connect and working client application, there is no problem.
I configured mirroring in principle server, but it is not successful, the error is
” TCP://mirror:5023 can not be reached or doesnot exist . check the network address name and the ports for the local and remote endpoints are operational (Microsoft sql server error no: 1418) ”
please help me, what should I go correct path for solving this issues?
Principle server - OS win server 2008 R2, SQL 2008 64 bit.
target server - OS win server 2003, SQL 2008 32 bit.
Thanks

I would check to see if windows 2008 Server has firewall Enabled. If it does disable it and try again. If it fixes the issue than you can re-enable it and open the appropriate ports. Windows 2008 has outbound and inbound firwall rules as well application rules.
