Hi All,
We have recently upgraded the OS from windows sever 2008 to windows sever 2008 R2. The application is using SQL server 2008 SP1.
Earlier an SP was running under 6 mins now with R2 its taking more than 8 mins
The CPU and RAM utlization is lower in R2 but the I/O bytes are more and slower
Is there any setting/hot fix required to fix this issue?

I'm unaware of any systemic issues with Server 2008 R2. Were any other changes introduced to the system? I'd suggest drilling down at the OS level to see what might be changed. Also, it's possible, depending on what else is happening with your system, that you might have a different execution plan now that is causing the slow-down. Take a look there as well.

We are seeing the same thing, but are in the early stages of the investigation.
