Login failed for user NIC4/NIC-4

    Hi all,

    I first had only one login with "Integrated Mode Authentication"

    I used "sa" login and password "sa123"

    later, due to some requirements i had to change the authentication type to Windows authentication.

    But i was not able to access this account.

    it used to show this message:

    "Login failed for user NIC4/NIC-4"

    now i am not able to login in any manner.

    for "sa" login it shows that

    "The user is not associated with trsuted SQL connection".

    please help.

    It is possible to change back to SQL Authentication by updating the relevant registry key and therefore letting you use the sa login. This link gives the registry key details http://support.microsoft.com/kb/285097.
