This one been driving me crazy all day. How do you remove a data source (model) from Report Builder that you no longer want the users to access? I know how to do this in Report Manager for reports and data sources, but I cannot find any references ANYPLACE on how to remove them in Report Builder. Models created using VS2005 (not BIDS) and deployed. But when new model deployed, old model, though deleted from project, is still deployed to the Builder. I see a delete on the Report Builder interface, but it is greyed out, even though I'm supposedly the site administrator. Am I missing something someplace?

Removing Report Models from Report Manager is no different from other objects like Reports and Data Sources. You can click on the Report Model and then Delete it or you can use the Details view and check the box next to the Report Model and Delete the item that way. Before you delete the item I would click on the Report Model and click on the Dependent Items tab to see what is currently associated with it.
Also, BIDS uses the Visual Studio shell and provides you the Business Intelligence project templates.

😀 Thanks Robert! I've focused so much on the Report Builder and BIDS interface (where I'd already deleted the model), It'd completely slipped my mind that I could also see SSRS elements via SQL. You'd have thought there would have been some reference to this someplace, but not a one. Of course your suggestion worked like a charm.
