importing data into sql2k5

    i am importing a file with a row delimiter of something different then {CR}{LF}. When I do that, the column delimiter is not acknowledged as a comma.... does anyone know why that would happen? i know this imports into 2k without a problem.

    I'd have to see a sample of how the data is put together before I could suggest anything. That and I'd need to know what method you are using for the import (Import Wizard, SSIS, OpenRowset, something else?).
