Hi:
Where can I find the SQL Server 2008 Express Server Log in SQL Management studio?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Jan

I haven't used SQL Server express in years now, but I am sure it should be available in all editions at the same location.
Look at the Management Node in the Object Explorer. Expand it, do you see SQL Server Logs ?
Right click on it-> View -> SQL Server Log.
Does that work?

Thank you for quick reply. I'm afraid I only have Activity Monitor in Management.

May I suggest you go to this link
View SQL Server Error Logs through T-SQL code
Use the code mentioned there.

Thanks Bru for that workaround. I'm hoping that there are settings in the Management Studio that we can set.
