Hi,
I had successfully created a SSIS .dtsx package from a DTS package created in sql server 2000. This package in sql 2000 has two connections one is iseries ODBC connection and the second one is sql connection . These two connections are mapped using a tranformation task which just copies data from a table in as400 into a table in sql server. It was successfully migrated into Sql server business intelligence studio. when I am trying to edit the connection using DTS designer, I was able to set the connection. But, unable to pull data from any of the tables. Am I going in a right way? Can any body walk me through the steps to get data from as400 into connection manager in Sql BI studio? What are the available drivers for this?
One driver I have observed is "IBM DB2 UDB for iSeries IBMDA400 OLE DB Provider". Does it work in this situation? because iSeries ODBC driver seems to be not working.
TIA

Check the thread below I have added two threads from another forum the ODBC connection should work your problems may be Admin permissions related and SSIS instance running. If you choose to run it as a Job the Agent must be admin and the account used to create the package must be admin also.

I've also had much better luck with the downloadable OLE DB Provider for iSeries. You can find it here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/4/4/D/44DBDE61-B385-4FC2-A67D-48053B8F9FAD/DB2OLEDB.exe, but you need Enterprise or Developer Edition, apparently.
